Eindelijk weer eens iets met quilten.

Alweer een week terug hebben wij weer een heerlijk quiltweekend in Nieuwkerke gehad. Het was weer supergezellig met de dames en ik heb 2 schnibbles in elkaar gezet. Uit mijn hoofd is de ene met Pure gemaakt en de andere met de stoffenserie Adore, maar die laatste weet ik niet zeker. Beiden zijn hele oude stoffenseries van meer dan 2 jaar oud. Het was weer heerlijk en de naaimachine snorde als vanouds. Komende vrijdag gaan ze met mijn moeder mee om te quilten en die was er ook superenthousiast over dat ik weer wat te quilten had voor haar.

I am still stiching and living, but just very busy. So that is why it is so quiet here.
16 pages in total finished of Three little pigs dancing. I just love stitching this piece. But I just saw that the next two pages will be boring with 75% black.

Ik weet het ik ben heel stil hier, maar ben dan ook zeer druk op het werk en thuis. Verder gaat het heel goed.
Ik heb vandaag de 16de pagina afgemaakt en dat betekent twee rijen met pagina's af.
De komende twee pagina's af met 75% van beiden pagina's gevuld met zwarte steekjes.

A quiet year

This was a very quiet blogging year. Is you look what I have blogged you would think I have only baked some pies and stitched a bit and that was it. Well yeah that is almost true. I haven't done much quilting. My bikingtrip this year was very very wet, but all in all it was a nice trip for the most part in Germany.
Stitching wise I finished St. Nick which is a big accomplishment.
Bakingwise I have done a lot, but I am posting that on a foodblog which is in dutch.
Maybe next year you will hear a bit more from me.

My new stitching piece

When I had finished St. Nick I soon started a new one. This is three little pigs dancing. I have now finished the first row of pages, 8 in total. What an detail already!

Toen ik St. Nick af had, ben ik vrij snel aan 3 dansende varkentjes begonnen en deze foto is van 8 pagina's af, wat neerkomt op de eerste rij pagina's. Wat een detail is er nu al te zien.

Yes, yes, yes I finally finished St. Nick and I did it in 3 years. Not so bad. I am almost sure which one to stitch next.

Jippie de kerstman in zijn werkkamer is af. Mijn geluk kan niet meer op. Ik ga maar even een paar ronde dansjes doen. Ik heb er precies 3 jaar over gedaan.
Ik weet al bijna zeker welke ik hierna ga maken.

No quilting, No stitching, but ....

cooking is a lot happening in my house. I am cooking meals for other people through www.thuisafgehaald.nl and last friday a reporter was following me while cooking a Chicken masala curry and a Lamb tikka masala curry. I also made two pies for one of the people that came for a meal.


The day was very busy, but so great. Lisa was a very nice lady and we had a lot of talks while I was cooking.

I also made "Duivenkater" and I have to say it almost tasted like the real thing.
The two curry's tasted both great and both the persons that came for a meal were both very happy with it.

I hope soon life will be a bit less busy and that I can clean out my sewing room and do some quilting again.
