Pic of mysteriequilt

Well I am home again, but very tired. Here a pic of the mysteriequilt I am making that was unraffled and haging in the shop. Doesn't it look intrique. I am was impressed that I am making this one and the blocks I already made I can find in the big picture. Sorry for the bad picture, but there was a lot in front of it.
I also got the first part of the next mysterie and we have to make some blocks again, hope to work on that one this weekend.

Today also the needleworks smalls exchange arrived from Chris. She mad me a Biscornu and I totally like it. Also love the colors. I will honor it for sure.
Also here a pic of the quilt we are making for my nephew. After a long debate we decided I will quilt it on the machine, I already have some ideas. Now just doing them LOL.
Also my mother made another babyquilt for a friend of hers. I think it looks great again.

Waalre was great

My mother and me had a great day at Waalre. I have seen some beautifull quilts in Waalre. Also the big mysteriequilt finished by the shopowner and it looks really great, but I was amazed at how difficult it looks. I will be so proud when it is finished.
Also I received the first part of the next quilt at home and I am looking forward to seeing what to do for that one.
Also I have another goal finished. It is the top of the quilt for my nephew which I am doing together with my mother. Now just have to discuss which one will quilt it.
I only bought one spool of thread and some glue, but that is all. So I am doing great on the no stash shopping and I saw some beautifull things. LOL my mother has bought a lot more :-).

1 of 50 finished

I just finished my scissorfob exchange on Robin's nest. I just love how it turned out, but can't show a pic till it is received. It will go in the mail next week. Tomorrow I will leave after work for my parents at the other end of the country. To visit the european quilt competition in Waalre. I know one of the ladies on a dutch list I am on has won "The trofe of workmanship". She has send in a very big hexagonquilt and I am looking forward to seeing it in real life.
So bye for now and I will be back saturday and hopefully can show a pic of the quilt for my nephew as my mother has finished her part already.

Progress mysteriequilt

Here is one of the blocks I am working on right now. It will come in the border somewhere.

I have to make this block another 3 times, but I only have to add the little triangles at the top corners.

It finally arrived

Just got the word that my lined seedbag exchange arrived. I am glad Mary loves it and also the skiens of Gloriana silk I put in.

Now keeping my fingers crossed that also my small exchanges from SBEBB will arrive.

Today I also got the name for the stocking stuffer exchange and I am already making up a nice package.

At the moment I am busy working on my big mysteriequilt. There is a lot of paperpiercing in it and I am not that good in paperpiercing. I will show pics hopefully later today. Also I stitched a lot on little red riding hood. I will take a picture of that one as soon as the first page is finished.

Finished top of babyquilt

Yesterday evening late I finished the top of the babyquilt. I love how it looks and all the colors. I showed it also to my colleagues yesterday and they said also that it looks nice. Today my mother is getting me backing and than next weekend or the weekend after I can quilt it and bind it and than give it to my colleague on the 3th of November.
I just decided that today is little red riding hood time. Yes I am going to stitch on that one. Animal shelf is almost finished, but I will have enough time to work on that one on saturday and sunday as I just heard my DH has to work tomorrowmorning as his boss went through his back (LOL I am sure you have to say it differently in english, but I don't know how, shortly he has beckpain) and now can't go up and down.
I also decided what to stitch for the scissorfobexchange on Robin's Nest. I am sure the receiver will like it. I hope to work on that one too this weekend and than I can't work on anymore exchanges as I don;t have any names yet for the other two. One will come after this weekend and the other one at the end of this month. I already have some ideas for the stocking stuffer exchange, but just have to see if I have the time. I also want to make my mother a garbage bag you can hang on your desk with also a pincushion on it, just have to see I can find instructions somewhere or I will work something out first for myself and than for my mother.
Today and yesterday I also added some charts to my wishlist. LOL it is getting longer and longer and I decided not to buy anything new till I at least finished some of the designs I already have in stock and that are already 300+. I can only buy fibers, beads and fabric for the charts in my posession.
Now it is time to go and do groceries as otherwise we won't have anything to eat.

What Season Are You?

I am not feeling 100% still, but am at 80% now. Yesterday was a very bad day, but I started in the evening cutting the ninpatches and sewing the first 3. Here is a pic of them. Today I thought I would go shopping at one of the two LQS we have here in town, but it was closed. So I wen to the not so nice one and bought some polydown for the next 4 quilts I have to quilt (Babyquilt, Autumn Harvest, Petraquilt and the minkeebabyquilt). So now only to buy backing for the babyquilt and than I go and quilt till I am crazy.
Also stitching wise I am almost fiished with animal shelf, only still a lot of backstitching to do. Also today I found something perfect for the SBEBB smalls exchange and so I just finished it again, but changed a little thing and tomorrow it will go in the mail.

Feeling not so good

I am not sick, but feel a bit sick. I have a feeling a cold is coming visiting me. I just talked to my mother and she had the same feeling sunday and now she has a bad cold.
I have sewed yesterday 3 more blocks and I have 6 more to go on the babyquilt. Just heard today from my colleagues that they want to give it to her on her last day before pregnancy leave and that is 3 november which is 4 weeks earlier. So I will have to sew a lot on that one the next days.

Some babayquilt progress

Today I have done 6 ninepatches, I hope I will be able to do the other 6 tomorrow and than tuesday the cutting and wednesday he sewing again.
Also a pic of the bag we are going to make at the quiltingretreat at the beginning of november. I am really looking forward to that. Now just have to see if I can find nice fabrics for it.

Received exchange and fabrics

When I came home yesterday late in the evening the crazy cat lady exchange from leslie was already waiting for me. I unpacked it, lol which took some time as it was first in a big envelope, there in was a little envelope and there in was a paperbag and there in where these beautifull things. Sjors has alreay played with the mouse and for him that is unique.
Also I promised pics from the fabrics. So here are the colors I will be using for my next mysteriequilt. It will be a big one again 96 inches square. The blue ones will be in the middle of the quilt, the orange around the blue and the green will be the outer edges and the fabric in front will be used in all colors. Than here also the colors for the bayquilt for my colleague. Cute bright colors which can be also used later on his/her bed. Well at leats I will try to make it that measurements.
Maybe later today I will work on this one, but first I am going to watch the ER episode from thursday, which I taped and stitch on animal shelf.

Bought to much fabric :-)

I am at my parents at the moment, so I am reading only a bit of the blogs, no responding as my dad's internetconnection isn't very stable.
Yesterday I was at the quiltshop in Den Bosch for the meeting of the last part of the mysteriequilt and boy I saw some nice quilts that were a lot further than me. I intend to go to the shop also on the december 2 as there is time to sandwich your mysteriequilt in the shop than. Than there will be 4 finished mysteries and one of them is almost the same colors as mine and it looks now already great.
Now about the fabricshopping. (Pictures will follow later this weekend, when I am home) I had to buy fabric for the backside of a new babayquilt my mother made and found some nice fabric for it.
I have to make a quilt for the new baby of my colleague wihich will be born in december and I found some perfect fabric for it with frogs and nice colors. I think it will be a cutted ninepatch (don't know the english name and this is a translation from dutch). It will be around 140 cm (55 inches) square, so it will be a quilt to play on and later you can use it on his or her bed.
Than I saw the fabric kits for the next mysterie and they looked great too, so with three ladies we have made a nice kit for mine and the 17th I will get the first part of the new mysterie.
Today I will go shopping with my mother for fabric for my nephew his new bog bed. We are thinking of making it also a cutted ninepatch. My mother will make the ninepatches. My father will cut them in 4 and I will make the top and after that my mother will do the quilting.

Recieved Lined seedbag exchange!!

Today mail was great. First I recieved the lined seedbag exchange from Annette today and it looks great.
Also I recieved the last part of the mysteriequilt and boy it will be beautifull when I have finished it totally.

Crazy cat lady exchange was received...

Today I posted the next exchange, which is the lined seedbag and probaly it will be received next week.

Quilt for Yvonne finished

I didn't expect that I would finish, but I just did. Now I have to go and e-mail Jacqueline if she has some fabric left for binding as I don't have any.
So now I will have the whole month of october to work on my own mysteriequilts. Yeah!!

Annemarie, I have it in a sort of a scrollframe, but it is on a stitchingstand that my dad build, but I am thinking of buying a scrollframe for my HEAD pieces as they are huge and don't fit the stand. I love working with them.

Finally I am quilting the Yvonnequilt and boy it will look great. First the sewing of Jacqueline was fantastic and now my meandering looks also very good. I will show a pic as soon as I can let it alone for awhile. Hopefully it will be done this week(end) so that I can take it to Jacqueline the 7th to show her and than put it in the mail, so it will be on time at Yvonne for her birthday the 15th.
Blogrolling isn't working very well at the moment, but I hope that in a day or something it will work again.

A quilt and stitching post

Well here I am again. Exhausted and happy. I just went to my LQS for the quiltshow and everything looked so good, but why I am exhausted and happy is that it was nice weather and so I went there by bike, which is about a bikeride in total of 25 miles. I try to loose some weight and this looked like a good way. So I thought I had earned some fabrics as they also were 10% off. I think I will make a doublesided quilt from them. One sight orange and the other side green, but you never know.
Also here a pic of animal shelf. As you can see I am making great progress. Only a little bear/rabbit and that the little quilt and do all the backstitching and than I will have a finish.

I am still around

Work is so busy that when I get home I am totally exhausted, so I try to rest a lot and not be behind the computer all evening. I try to stay on track with all of your blogs, but mostly looking, not much commenting.
With the relaxing I am stitching up a storm on animal shelf. I really hope to have it finished in the next weeks. Than I can get everything to the framer and have all my christmas presents that I want to make ready before christmas.
Also yesterday we heard that in March of next year there will be another quiltingretreat of some dutch quiltinglists I am on. And off course I want to go as I just loved it last april.

I hate this

I had 3 finishes this week also have finished them in very cute things and I can't show anything as they are all for exchanges. But it also means that I am totally finished with the first 3 exchanges and the crazy cat lady exchange will go in the mail tomorrow. The lined seedbag has to wait a few days as I still have to get a nice color ribbon for that and the small needlework exchange have to wait a lot longer as that is to be send around the 15th of october. Now I only have to make a scissorfob and than I am finished with all the exchanges so far and I have to say I love doing the finishing a lot.
This week I will have to look if I have enough Hobbs to sandwich the Quilt for Yvonne, so that I can start the quilting on that otherwise I will have to go to the LQS to buy some.

Finished Gerardquilt and a finish from my mother

First I wanted to thank everyone for looking at my blog and leaving such nice comments. Sorry that I don;t answer them all seperately, but since I am home from vacation I have been running around and this is the first time I really sit behind my computer for longer than 5 minutes.
Next I just did the last stitch on the binding for the charityquilt for Gerard. I like how it looks, but not totally satisfied about it, but that is because my old sewing machine wasn't a really good sewing machine.
Next to quilt is the charityquilt for Yvonne, but I think that will have to wait till next weekend as the next week will be busy with stitching on animal shelf and maybe working on my mysteriequilts.

Also here a pic of my mothers next finish. It is a little quilt for a new born and can be used in the carseat for babies, It is not very big, but looks so nice.

It is finished!!!!

Yeah MTM is finished. I just put in the last bead and boy it glitters all the way. I just love the finished result.
Now I am going to get busy on the stitched lined seedback exchange. Finally decided on what to stitch.

This week I am also going to finish the Gerardquilt and crazy cat lady exchange. So I have to keep busy.

I am back

I am back from my great vacation in Italy. It was very warm, between 30 and 41 degrees (86 to 105 F). We have done a lot of biking the first week and that week it was 38 and 41 (100 and 105 F). Meeting Lyne was great, she is also if I am correct on one of the pics. We had some nice hotels espicially the second week in Toscane. I really love italian food. here some pics
For stitching or quilting I haven't done anything as the weather was so hot and the light in all the rooms wasn't great.

Well as I am on vacation tomorrow I am already doing my goals post today. As you can see I did great on my stitching anf bad on my quilting. Well now to think for next month.

All stitching goals finished

I just finished part 11 of MTM. I will take a pic later this week as my batteries are down. I think this week I will do some beading on MTM so that I only have to do part 12 of MTM next month and it will be finished quickly as I have had it with MTM totally. It is a good thing that it is so gorgeous.
Stitching I think will be on little red riding hood some more as I don't want to stitch on my other wips at the moment.
Quilting I hope to find out how to knot a quilt and do that with the minkeequilt as soon as I am home from vacation. Also I want to finish part 7 of the big mysterie and cut the last pieces for part 2 of the little summer mysterie. Also drawn the last two celtic knots on the Gerardquilt, so that I can take that one with me on vacation and do the sewing for the binding this week, I think doing that by hand will be a nice thing to do on vacation.
Now only 3 days of work and than it is vacation.

Finished spring snapperland

Here it is. Charts are up for trade for some WDW and GAST that I need. Just e-mail me. I stitched it with the WDW and GAST they asked for. Now it is time to go and finish part 11 of MTM.

Exchanged Gifts

My mother and me exchanged gifts yesterday. I gave her the road to Ireland and she gave me this one. Isn't it nice?

I haven't finished spring snapperland yet, but I hope to finish today or tomorrow and than start the last 3 corners of Medieval Town Mandala. Hopefully I don't have to work wednesday so that I can go and quilt that day.

We have a stitch-a-thon at Robin's nest this weekend. I don't have a pic of far I am with spring snapperland, but I had the first design and border finished. I started the second, third and fourth design this morning and hope to get a lot done today. Tomorrow won't be a real stitching day for me as we go to my parents as my mother has her 55 birthday today and as she wasn't home today she celebrates tomorrow. So we will be in the car for 3 and a half hours a part of the day and the rest we will be at my parents. Hope she will love the quilt. I hope to show pics of spring snapperland, pine needleroll and MTM next week. I think I will take pine needleroll with me to my parents to stitch on that one.
Goals for next week will be:
1. finish part 11 of MTM ( as soon as I can print the chart another 3 times)
2. finish spring snapperland
3. work on one of the myusteriequilts

Top finished babyquilt

Well I couldn't let it be without the borders, so I just finished it.

Minkee babyquilt

There will only be a green border on it and than it is finished, but before I do that I have a question: I am using flanel as the backing, what should I do as stuffing or doesn't need it stuffing. The top is also totally with minkeefabrics, so it is already warm and adorable to touch.
Any ideas are welcome, also for the quilting. I don't want to quilt it much as it has to stay fluffy (hope I say the right word).
Now I am back to work on spring snapperland as I decided to go and stitch some more on that one. MTM stays in the freezer for awhile, maybe next week.

Goals for this week

Since I started Little red riding hood I have only worked on that one with a little exception for the needleroll sal, so this has to change now. Here are some goals for this week.
1. Finish top of minkee quilt
2. Work on spring snapperland and finish the first design.
3. Work on MTM and finish the next corner or more.
4. Quilt some more on the Gerardquilt (this depends on my work, it can be that I have to work more hours)

Some help needed

I see some girls cross of there goals or something in their sidebars (so that you still can see the text, but with a line through it). How do you do that?
I haven't sewn or quilted today. I did a little bit of stitching, but not a lot too. Well I did read. I just had a very lazy day after yesterday with my in-laws. I survived barely and am glad I won't see them till the new year :-)

Not much going on...

Today I haven't done much. I did take a long bath as I felt so tired and now I have energy again. In an hour we will go to Heemskerk to the bbq the weather is better than yesterday and I hope it stays that way. I am not looking forward to seeing my inlaws again, but well it is only a few times a year that I see them, lucky me. Yeah my and my inlaws are not so font on eachother.
Here is a pic of a little quilt I made for my nephew Job for christmas 2 years ago. It is an applique quilt that is now hanging in his room.

And here it is totally finished

LOL 3 blogs a day am I going crazy or what. Here is the quilt finished. The binding fabric is just a little bit darker than the inner border fabric and comes from the same fabric collection as the rest of the colored once.

Today I also started my dutch blog to please the dutch people that had problems reading my blog. Here is the link. Tonight I will work on little red riding hood or spring snapperland and tomorrow and the day after it is needleroll time.

Tomorrow we will have a bbq as my BIL has his 40th birthday and the weather is wet, wet and very wet. It has rained the whole day today and they expect the same weather tomorrow.

Quilting finished

I just completed the quilting on the road to ireland and as soon as it is dry I will add the binding. I love the look of it very much and as I have enough blocks left to do another one I will do that in the next week together with quilting the other two quilts I have to quilt. Busy busy busy.

Also an update on Littl red Riding hood. It is coming along great and I am addicted. Now I have to go and make a decision which needleroll to stitch a sheperd's Bush or an Sweethearttree or an Jeannette Douglas. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Now I have to go and do groceries and clean the house.

The quilting on the road to ireland is going great, only two more borders to go. Hope to get it finished with the binding today.

Top finished

Here is teh top of the road to ireland. This one will be for my mother and I will make another one for Hiske. I will quilt bobbins in a dark green color on the borders with thread between them. I have thought about applique, but time is just to short for that as she has her birthday the 19th of this month.

Update road to ireland

Here is a pic of my road to ireland. I will go look for border fabric tomorrow. When I can't find anyting. I will sew some more blocks to make it bigger and add no border, but will do the binding with all the fabrics. Just have to see if I can find something.

My DH found them later on the diningtable. They were under some things and I know for sure that I looked there. Looks like just not looked very good.

Update quilting and stitching and SBQ

In the afternoon I worked again a bit on my road to ireland quilt and finished the second row. I really love how the colors come out in this quilt, maybe when I have read all the blogs I will be sewing a bit today too.

Also here some progress on Little red riding hood "roodkapje"in dutch. I already made like 3000 stitches, but it doesn't show yet.

Does anyone have a good/crazy idea where I can left my keys. I can't find them and I haven't left our house since I used them the last time to enter our house.

Started all over

I started the comfortquilt for Hiske all over again and it will be a road to ireland quilt.

I love how the fabrics work together. It is a real stashquilt as all the fabrics are from my stash, now only I have to think about the border, but I am sure I will come up with something. I don't have enough of these fabrics to use them also for the borders.

Now I am back downstairs to drink and stitch for awhile and maybe later today some more sewing.

Update stitching this week

Here are some updates from Little red riding hood

This is done 1 over one, so doesn't look like much, but there are already a lot of stitches in this little piece.

Next is spring snapperland on which I worked already some time. This weekend I will work some more on little red riding hood and also on "It's summertime quilt". Today I got the last part and it will look so great when finished. So now it is time to get it finished.

I decided to do the Hiskequilt over again as it didn't look good at all. Hope to do that next week.

And here a pic of the first quilt I ever made ro also make a quilty pic. I made this one in February 2004. It is from the Magic Patch. I made it for my mother and it is still on one of their chairs. I love it very much.

Yesterday I have been designing a quilt for my nephew which I will make together with my mother and so far I am very happy with the result. I have added a little and broke it down again. Here is the pic, what do you all think about it.

Lunette's also arrived at my place today. and I really really love it very much. It is beautifull stitched and made.

And it arrived

I stitched for Paula this scissorfob for the rotation stitchers bb and I just heard it arrived.

It is "In my garden" scissorfob from Sheperd's Bush. I loved stitching it and it went very fast tii. I am glad Paula likes it.

Today I bought the lugana fabric for both Heaven and Earth designs and I am thinking of starting little red riding hood today. Just a little bit, not a lot of stitches :-)

Yesterday I also forgot to tell you all that I have payed now the total quiltingretreat I will be joining in November together with my mother from a LQS here in the neighborhood and it looks like it will be a subject with cats and as you know I love cats.

Key board is working

I had my old one still in the house, so got that one and what my computer didn't want to do this morning, did do it when I came home and I got my old one to work, so I am back.

Haven't done any sewing or quilting today, but planned to quilt on the celticquilt tomorrow and hopefully friday to get that one finished and send to his next owner. It is a charityquilt.

Yesterday I got part 10 of the big mysteriequilt which I just saw that I have lied about the measurements it will be 2.4 meter square which is 94 inches square. This next part we have to sew one block 18 times and than we have to make some rows and it will look so good. Hope to work on this one too this weekend.

Here is my first corner of MTM with beads, we will have an easy part as the last part as it will be some (I think ) specialty stitches as the flowers in these trees.
Now it is time to go to bed as I am really tired.

Gone for awhile

Due to for my keyboard and mouse not working at the moment it can be that I won't post at my blog for a few days, but maybe I can repair it tonight, you never know how it will work out. So maybe till tonight or otherwise till my computer is working well again.
