Here are some pictures of where I am hiding for the big pile of stash coming in these weeks LOL. The weather is 37 celsius (100 fahrenheit), but with a pool around the corner we don't have a problem with that. Tonight we will have a nice bbq. Under the 3 in the third picture I am making this post.

Vanuit Frankrijk

Hier ben ik dan vanuit het zonnige Frankrijk. We zijn vandaag aangekomen na een korte reis die lang duurde. We zijn dwars door de alpen hierheen gekomen en dat was maar 300 km, maar een en al bocht en uiteindelijk kostte het 8 uur reizen met zeer uitgebreide lunch van anderhalf uur.
We zaten in www.albergosudamerica.com en nu zitten we in www.closdespanelles.com en we blijven hier de komende dagen en reizen woensdag weer verder naar Belgie.

Stashbusting report week 25

I have used some and nothing came in. Lucky me!! LOL you don't want to see the stashbusting report after my vacation. If the mail works great like almost there will be waiting 4 envelopes on me from the fatquartershop. The backing and finishing kit for the designer mysterie BOM and a fatquarter bundle from Roses the Noel.
I have used a bit of fabric for bindings and backings and also gave a bit away.I made this post already on wednesday and it will posted on sunday. Hope to find time to put it in mr linky at Judy her website.

Update Little red riding hood

Waarschijnlijk mijn laatste berichtje voor mijn vakantie. Ik heb inmiddels weer 2 pagina's af en als ik goed heb geteld heb ik er nu 30 af en moet ik er nog 26, waarvan 10 pagina's die niet volledig gevuld zijn.

Hij gaat ook mee op vakantie aangezien ik bij een borduurvriendin in Zwitserland zal zijn de eerste week en die hem natuurlijk in het echt wil bewonderen. Voor de rest neem ik de mandjes mee om te appliqueren en waarschijnlijk Journey of a quilter om te borduren.

My last update and probaly also message before my vacation. I finished another 2 pages, so now a total of 30 are finished and only (LOL) 26 to go, but from which 10 are not totally full pages. This one will go with me on vacation as I will be meeting and sleeping at the home of a stitching friend in Switzerland and off course she wants to see it in real life. Also I will put the baskets (tisket tasket) in my bag to applique and Journey of a quilter to do the stitcheries. I will learn Marianne to quilt. Hope I will do fine.

I will take the laptop with me, so probaly you will see a post or more here from my vacation. Will be gone for two weeks. And when I come back it will be my worst stashbusting report ever as the finishing and backing for the BOM will come in and also a FQ bundle from Roses the Noel. That last one is very naughty from me, but well just had to use a 20% of discount. I promise I will be using it soon.

It was a very very good week. First I made the backing for the mysterie quilt. That was a big bust. Than I made a quilt for a friend and pieced also the backing, only have to quilt it and I started this beauty also in these colors. The middle part is ready now. This week I will start making the little stars and the outer border.
And I got no fabric in.

A new quilt

Deze week ben ik druk geweest met een quilt gemaakt van 1 charmpack, ook de achterkant is van dezelfde charmpack gemaakt. Nu nog quilten.

This week I have been bsy making a quilt with one charmpack and this is what it became, also the backing is made from the same charmpack. Now just the quilting.

stashbusting week 23

Well not so good week as more came in than went out. But next week will be a nice bust as I will be piecing the backing for my mysterie and also will be starting a new little quilt. But well that is next week. This week I used 1 meter for the spring fling round robin.
Also there came in a layercake from gypsy rose and 2 yards of moda marbles for a new quilt I want to make from Miss Rosie quiltcompagny as soon as the pattern comes in. And this envelope is really taking a long way.

Top Finished

Het werd bijna middernachtelijk patchen, maar het is gelukt. De top is af. Ben erg tevreden met het resultaat. Nu kan mijn moeder hem gaan quilten met de hand. Zondag maar eens de achterkant gaan maken.

I have been sewing for two hours tonight and it is finished. I am very happy with the result. Now my mother can start the quilting by hand on it.

Going great

Ik ga als een speer. Als ik thuis was heb ik zoveel mogelijk achter de naaimachine gezeten. Over 1 driehoekjes rand doe ik ongeveer een uur met snijden en naaien. Vooral alle driehoekblokjes bijsnijden is veel werk. Ik hoop hem vrijdagavond helemaal af te hebben.

Have been sewing like crazy here when I was home and I now have finished 2/3 of the whole quilt. Only adding the last borders to the last two cornerblocks and than can be sewn to this part too. Hope to have it finished by Fridayevening.

stashbusting report week 22

Deze week een goede en slechte week in een aangaande de stof.

Gisteren een heerlijk dagje wezen fietsen bij Brielle. In totaal 55 km (ook door een verdwaling bij Rockanje). Er zaten 2 quiltwinkels op onze route en ook allebei bezocht. Bij het quiltgebeuren heb ik een paar meter van stof uit de winter collectie van moda gekocht voor randen aan een quilt en de rozenstofjes, maar die zijn voor mijn moeder.

Bij the stitch cottage heb ik stof voor de achterkant gekocht en als je een rol leegmaakt kreeg je extra korting en aangezien van de lichte stof te weinig was heb ik ook nog maar een andere rol leeggemaakt en heb ik nu genoeg voor de achterkant van de mysterie. Verder nog wat patronen gekocht en linealen. En op de andere nog wat patronen die via de fatquartershop binnenkwamen.

Well this week was a good and bad week in one.

First the bad part. Yesterday I was on a bikingtour together with my DH. We went to the southwest and took the bikes of the car and have sone a tour of 55 km (you may not ask how my legs are feeling). On our route there were two quiltshops, one in Brielle and one in Hellevoetssluis. We started out tour in Brielle, so first I went viting the shop "'t Quiltgebeuren". A very nice shop and I found some yardage from Winter from Moda and I still needed a bit for a border. Than we went on to Hellevoetssluis where "The Stitch Cottage" still is, but it is closing this year and all fabric are on sale and when you empty a bolt it is even more on sale. I needed backing fabric for the mysterie and managed to empty two bolts. I just didn't have enough from the creme one, so also bought the green one. They will be pieced up as a backing soon. In total I bought 7.80 meter. Also found some other things I needed and the roll with the little rolls is for my mother and the charmpacks are for someone else too.

Now on to the good. I can add finally the yardage of the mysterie to my bust and that is 14.50 meter. Yeah!!!

Update mysterie

Ik heb vandaag de hoekblokken afgemaakt zover ik kon met nog 1 deel missend en ook aan de andere blokken de laatste rand gezet. Morgen en maandag worden 2 fietsdagen, maar maandag hoop ik aan de randen te gaan werken. Als je het foutje vindt laat een reactie achter en de eerste die het meld krijgt iets leuks. Wel op de foto klikken, want op de grootte foto is hij te vinden niet op de kleine. Nog even een hulp foto toegevoegd. het zit niet in de grote blokken.

Today I have been working on the mysterie to get the cornerblocks as far as I good with the missing part left to do and also I finished the other blocks. Only a lot of triangles to sew for the last border and than it is finished. Tomorrow and monday will be two days on the bike, but sunday I hope to sew on it. By the way if you find the mistake and comment and you are the first time you will get something fun. You can find it when you click on the pic to see it big.

Update LRRH

Vandaag vond ik het weer tijd voor een update van roodkapje. Weer een pagina af en een paar andere pagina's gaan ook hard. Links onderaan ben ik bij het laagste punt aangekomen en ik moet zeggen hij wordt echt heel groot.

Well I just thought to give you another update on Little red riding hood. Another page was finished and well some other pages are going fast too. The left side is now on the lowest point, so this is how big it will be and that is very big.

Part 9 and 10 finished

Vanmiddag heb ik de laatste 4 feathered stars gemaakt van deel 9 en na het eten ben ik begonnen aan het snijden voor deel 10 en die heb ik ook nog klaar gekregen. Het is de blauwe helft van dit vierkant. De andere kant komt uit een ander deel. Morgen ga ik snijden aan deel 11, niet heel veel meer te snijden.

This afternoon I finished all the feathered stars from part 9 and after diner I started working on part 10 and that is now finished too. I made the blue half of this block in this part, teh other half is from another part. Part 11 is a biggie, but I will start the last cutting tomorrow and than I can count the fabric as busted.

Stashbusting report week 21

Well my order came in. I had ordered charmpacks and some fabric from the legacy collection for a snippet. No fabbies ordered this week. Also nothing used as I am still working on the mysterie.

A finish

Ik heb een affo. Jippie. Kreeg net een mailtje van mijn ouders dat mijn hexagonquilt klaar is. Ik heb de top vorig jaar rond deze tijd gemaakt, toen ik met mijn been omhoog op de bank zat. Hij is helemaal met de hand gemaakt inclusief het quilten door mijn moeder en ze heeft ook het biesje met de hand gedaan. Oja ik heb inmiddels 4 featheres star blokken af, dus nog 4 te gaan, ze worden steeds beter.

I have a finish. I just got an e-mail from my parents that my hexagonquilt is finished. It is totally made by hand and also quilted by hand by my mother. I am very happy with the result. By the way I finished 4 feathered stars blocks and only 4 more to go and than I will go and cut all the pieces I still have to do so I can bust some fabrics LOL.

a new block

Ik wou jullie even laten zien wat het volgende blok is dat ik 8 keer moet maken. Ik moet er behoorlijk bij opletten, maar uiteindelijk lukt het wel. Nog 7 te gaan.

Just wanted to show you girls what difficult block I am working on. I have to make this one 8 times, so only 7 more to go. I really have to keep track of what I am doing, but as long as I am carefull, I am doing great.

Part 8

Zondag was deel 8 klaar, deze keer ook weer veel snijwerk. De string blocks zijn de nieuwe blokken in dit blok en zijn gecombineerd met andere blokken eerder gemaakt. Deel 8 bestond ook uit het middenblok van de vorige foto vorige week. Ben nu met deel 9 bezig en gisteren heb ik alles gesneden en dat was weer heel veel werk, maar ik kan nu 8 halve feathered stars blokken gaan maken. Zag gisteren een sneak peak van de designer mysterie en wil hem nu echt snel af hebben, want wil schuldvrij starten eraan.

Sunday I finished part 8, which involved a lot of cutting. The string blocks are the new blocks and they are combined with some other blocks from another part. In the last pic I showed the middle block of the quilt was also part of part 8. I am now busy with part 9 which involves 8 half feathered stars blocks. Yesterday I saw a sneak peak from the designer mysterie and am now looking more forward to it and really want to finish this one now so I can start it without guilt.

quiltng and stitching

Ik ben de afgelopen tijd druk bezig geweest met mijn hobbies. Ik heb ten eerste heel veel aan de mysterie gewerkt en hier dus een foto om jullie een beetje een idee te geven, heb nog veel meer gedaan, maar dat zien jullie wel als de top af is.

I have been very busy with my hobbies these past days. First I have been working a lot on my mysterie quilt. I have just made this pic to give you an idea how I am doing on it. I have finished a lot more on it, but that was to much work to get everything in the pic as the other parts are still little blocks and not combined yet in bigger blocks.

Verder heb ik heel veel aan roodkapje geborduurd en zoals jullie zien heb ik daar ook leuke vorderingen op gemaakt. Ik heb als je de kruisjes telt alweer een pagina af, maar hij is nog niet af omdat ik op 3 pagina's te gelijk werk.

Second I have been working on Little red riding hood and as you can see I have made nice progress. I am working on 3 pages at once and probaly tonight even on 4 at the same time. When you count crosses I already finished a new page.

stashbusting report week19

Well not much to report. I have been busy sewing on my mysteriequilt and that won't be counted till the top is finished. Will have to go and decide what to do for the backing, maybe a kind of ninepatch too.

Now I just have a question how do you count BOM's? As I am starting the designer mysterie BOM next month, I am just curious how everyone will be counting such things where you get the fabric once a month. Hope I get some answers.

lekker aan het koken

For the englisch readers it is just some talk about food and to hard to translate for me. Hope you don't mind the dutch. You can always use a translate side.



Ben de afgelopen dagen heerlijk aan het koken geweest.

Allerlei recepten uitgeprobeerd. Gestoofde andijvie (de hele bladeren) met tomaten en olijven. Erg lekker!!

Een minirollade van varkenshaas, olijventapenade en mozzarella. Erg lekker!! Huisgerookte zalm, erg goed gelukt, met asperges, mjammie!! en donderdagavond heb ik een boerenpate gemaakt, maar die moest eerst afkoelen en daarna opstijven voor 24 uur, dus dat duurde even voor we die konden proeven. Nou vanmorgen geprobeerd en hij is heel goed gelukt. Ga er straks nog even cumberlandsaus bij maken en dan hebben we vanavond een heerlijke maaltijd.

Morgen komt mijn broer eten, want hij moet jureren voor het modelbaouwvliegen in Wieringen en dan maak ik gehaktballekes gestoofd met witloof en bier. Komt uit het kookboek "In Belgie eet met lekker". Ben benieuwd naar het resultaat daarvan.

Zo ga ik weer snel verder aan de mysterie, want er begint toch echt vorm in te komen nu en wordt er steeds blijer van. Dit tempo aanhouden en dan is hij aan het eind van de maand af LOL. Wou eigenlijk naar de silvia's bridal sampler dag, maar weet van mezelf dat ik daar toch niet met lege handen vandaan kan komen, dus ga toch maar niet beter voor de financien.

Busy with the mysterie

Just wanted to let all my readers know that I am not lost. Just can't get myself to posting during the week. I am working still on my mysterie and making lots of progress. I have made this week already 3 big blocks, 24 little ninpatches and I am busy with the paperpieceborders which I decided to not do by paperpiece and they look really good. I am now almost half way part 7 and when I keep up like this maybe I will finish the top this month. Pic will be coming sunday together with the stashreport as it looks like I won't have a lot of stash to report, not in and not out. Also didn't push any buttons this week and nothing on it's way.

stashbusting report week 18

Well not a good week as I worked on a work already started, but as I haven´t busted the fabric yet I will have a big bust when the top is completed (14.5 meter).
This came in 6 meter. I just had to buy with the precut sale at the fatquartershop. I bought a jellyroll from candykisses and a jellyroll and layercake from Gypsy Rose.

This week

Van de week heb ik zitten denken hoe ik de quilts waar ik aan werk beter op kan laten schieten. Iedere keer als ik er weer 1 bij pak, ben ik toch weer een poosje bezig om uit te zoeken waar ik precies ben gebleven. Dus zat ik te denken om voortaan een hele week aan 1 project te werken en deze week is dat de 3x3 mysterie van de quilterij geworden van een paar jaar terug en ik moet zeggen het werkt.

Last week I have been thinking how I could do it that I would have more done on my quilts I am working on. I decided I would work on one of the quilts a whole week and not here and there a day and I have to say it works perfect. This week I have worked on a mysterie from 2006/2007 from the quilterij.

Ik begon met deel 4 daar moest ik nog 8 square in a square blokjes voor maken en vast zetten aan andere delen.

I started with part 4 for which I had to make still 8 square in a square blocks and had to attach them to other parts I already made.

Dan voor het zelfde deel moest ik 8 recter driehoeken maken en 8 linker driehoeken maken. Toen was dit deel af.

Than from the same part I had to make little triangle blocks 8 left and 8 right.Than this part was finished.Dan voor deel 5 moest ik 16 grote driehoeken maken, erg veel snijwerk en naaiwerk.Verder bestaat dit deel uit heel veel tekenwerk. Iets van 40 paperpiece strookjes. Zover heb ik er 6 getekend.

Than I started part 5, for this one I needed to make 16 triangles and it was a lot of cutting and sewing involved with. The rest of the part consists of drawing for a later part all paperpiece borders. I think I have to draw 40 of them, don't look forward to that I only have drawn 6 so far.

Dan deel 6, bestaat uit dit leuke blok. Ik moet er nog 3 maken, misschien dat ik daar morgen aan toe kom. Heb alleen van de kleine oranje stukje nog niet alles gesneden, moest er 98 snijden en ben nu op de helft met het snijden. Bij dit zelfde deel moet ik nog een vracht ninepatch blokjes maken. Dus zoals jullie zien zet een week werken aan hetzelfde werk aardig wat zoden aan de dijk. Misschien dat ik er nog wat langer aan werk, anders is sbs aan de beurt.

Than part 6 it contains this nice block. I still have to made 3 others of them, hope I can do that tomorrow. For this same part I have to make also a lot of ninepatch blocks. Maybe I will work a bit longer on this quilt, but otherwise Silvia's bridal sampler is coming from the closet.

Some to show

Vandaag heb ik druk aan de spring fling round robin gewerkt, moest de eerste rand toevoegen en dat is goed gelukt. De foto is in zwart wit en het midden weg gefotoshopt, want dat moet geheim blijven, anders weet de eigenaar al dat ik aan haar quilt heb gewerkt en dat willen we niet.

Ik heb ook weer druk aan roodkapje gewerkt en heb inmiddels 2 pagina´s weer af, nr 26 en 27. Nog 29 te gaan. Ben blij dat eindelijk de quilt op het bed te zien is.

Today I have been working on a spring fling round robin and I am very very happy with the result. Off course it is in other colors but we may not show them. And the colors are so beautifull. Also cut away the center.

Also came to the conclusion that it had been some weeks since I made a pic of Little red riding hood and the quilt is a bit showing now in the stitching. This is another 2 pages finished since the last pic. I am now busy with page 28.

Not a whole lot to report. I used half a meter for a round robin and that is all. Nothing in, but I am expecting something.

Stashbusting report week 16

This week I have done some more blocks on my snowball and ninepatch quilt, but for that one I already made the bust. So now on to the new things.
I got my order in from fatquarter shop, a layer cake from Beach house and some yardage from Nature's Chorus.
The layercake went out right away to a new quilt together with another layercake and some yardage I already had in stash. So this weeks bust is:

New quilt

Ik had van de week mijn stoffen binnen om deze quilt te starten, omdat in de layercake van Nature´s Chorus weinig donkere stoffen voorkwamen heb ik een layercake van Beach house erbij gekocht plus nog een klein beetje yardage voor de sashings en borders. Het is een BOM en allemaal applique met een klein beetje stitcherie en ik vindt hem erg leuk om te doen, dit is het blok van januari. Denk dat ik dit weekend ook nog het volgende blok ga voorbereiden. Het is weer quiltathon, dus moet druk bezig zijn, maar dat wil nog niet echt lukken. Gelukkig weet ik waar het aan ligt hoe ik me voel.

This week I got in a layercake from beachhouse and some yardage from Nature´s Chorus to get started on this BOM. This is the block from january, so still 3 to go to get up to date, but hope to do another block this weekend.

Busy

Begin dit jaar heb ik besloten dat het een jaar werd om oude werken af te maken en ik moet zeggen tot nu toe gaat het erg goed. Inmiddels heb ik 6 oude werken afgewerkt. Mijn moeder is nu mijn hexagonquilt aan het quilten en waarschijnlijk ook nog ombiezen, dus ik denk dat in een maand of 2 die ook wel af zal zijn , mijn moeders snelheid kennende. Verder vanavond de luierhangers afgewerkt, ik moest nog steeds het karton voor de onderkant stofferen en dat heb ik nu gedaan. Ik moet nu alleen nog 1 roze afmaken.

I decided at the beginning of this year that it would be a year of finish old things and I am doing great on that. I already have finished Cat's Paw, Lentekriebels, Be Gentle, Christmas wave, Nature's Trail and the dancing goose. So 6 oldies are already finished. Than today I also finished the diaper hangers. I just had to to the finishing on the hard bottoms and so I did this evening. Only one of the 4 I made still needs to have a little sewing on it. Hope to do that also the coming days. So 3 more finishes for me. Yeah!!

Ik probeer op dit moment gewicht te verliezen al sinds dat ik in de rolstoel heb gezeten, was in de rolstoel ook al afgevallen en heb dat daarna volgehouden. Ik doe het door minder te eten en meer te bewegen. Ik zwem elke woensdagmiddag 1 km (40 banen), maar vandaag was het zulk heerlijk weer dat ik heerlijk heb gefietst, 32 km, was een heerlijk tochtje. Helaas wel wat verbrandt. Ik heb gisteren en vandaag er weer 20 blokken bijgemaakt bij mijn nature's chorus quilt (naam nog te verzinnen).

I am trying to loose some weight and that is going great. I am now always swimming 1 km on wednesdays (my day off), but as weather was great here today I deciced to go an jump on my bike for some exercise and so I did do 32 km's this afternoon. It was a very nice ride. Also have sewed 20 more blocks on the nature's Chorus quilt.

Stashbusting report week 15

Well it was a very good week as I used fabric for the backing on the gooses and the romantic stripquilt. So I am finally using more than that comes in, but naughty me did do an order for a new quilt I am going to start.
Also in my last post I said I would be buying fabric for the binding, but well that doesn't really work on the stashbusting, so I used some fabric from my stash instead. Binding is on now, just have to do the handpart on it.

An exchange and an almost finish

Last week I received a beautifull exchange from Ruth. It is the spring swap. I just love the pillowcases she made me. Thanks Ruth.

This week I have also been quilting on this one. It is an UFO and just needs to be finished. I just have to get some fabric for the binding and than I can finish it. Probaly will go to my LQS tuesday.

What I have been doing

Well what have I been up to these past week. I have been stitching on Little red riding hood and finished another page. So now 25 are finished and 26 is also going great and will be finished soon.
I am very pleased with how it is looking.
Than I am also working on the new jellyroll quilt and just to let you see how it looks so far. Here a pic with a few blocks. So far I finished 7 snowball blocks and 9 ninepatch blocks.

Stashbusting week 14

Great stashbusting week and I am almost in the positive now that I used more than added. There came in some stash this week, but it wasn't for me but for my mother. So no stash added for me.
Than the stash out, well had a great stashbust as I busted a lot for my new jellyrollquilt in which I use also charmpacks. It is with the Nature's Chorus line and done with ninpatches and snowballblocks. I am thinking about using the layer cake I have from this line for some applique in the snowball blocks, but haven't decided yet. First will be making all the blocks and after that I will see what I will be doing with the snowballs. Will have to bust big time the coming months as in June there will be coming in a lot of fabric as I will be attending the 2009 designer mysterie BOM at the fattquartershop and I have ordered the backing and assembling kit too, so well lots of fabric coming that month. I have planned already some new things to start and also to finish.

Some new blocks

What have I been doing the past days. Well on monday I made these 3 little pinwheels (3"inch) for my 1930 quilt.
I really love working on this quilt and so yesterday I sewed another block with lots of applique and I am loving applique every day a little more, may one day I will make a huge applique quilt.
Today I wrapped the gifts for my spring swap and tomorrow I will put the whole package in the mail. I hope when it arrives at it's new owner in a few days I hope she will like it.
At the moment my brother is in the USA (Milwaukee) and as the new book of Jennifer Chiaverini came out this week he will bring it with him. Yeah I am very happy with my brother.

Stashbusting report week 13

For using fabric it was a good week, for buying not so. I have used fabric for the binding and backing for strawberry candy and border fabric for romatic strip quilt. But there also came in a order with backings.

Quiltathon march day 2

Today I have been sewing 4 more blocks from the 1930 quilt. Two are with handapplique and that slowed me down a lot. There is one 12", one 9" en two 6" inch blocks. I just love working on this quilt a lot and there will be more blocks coming soon.

Than I also worked on the romatic strip quilt to get the borders done and so I did. Now I can go and quilt this one. Any ideas anyone?

Quiltathon march

Well I decided to join the quiltathon this month as I want to make some progress on a few projects. Today I made 5 blocks and a half. The half is one I am cutting at the moment and is an applique one.

The big one is a 9", the smaller ones 6" en the small ones 3". Still a lot more blocks to sew on this one. TomorrowI first will unpick the left side of the bottom (purple/yellow one) block as that doesn't line up properly and than I think I will sew some more blocks from this quilt, but it somehow can be that I will work on another quilt. We will see. You will here tomorrow evening. Also than my stashreport which is not bad at all wasn't it that a order came in today with two backing fabrics, but they will be used soon.

Finished Round robin

I just put on the last leaves on Carol's Round Robin, so now it can go on it's long travel to the USA. Hope she will like it . It is huge. I have to say that I like how it turned out.Next to finish is the strawberry quilt. In a few minutes I am going to sew the binding on it.

LRRH update and exchange received

Yesterday I got this beautiful quilt in the mail from Melinda It is purple and very beautifull. I am feeling very happy with it. Thanks Melinda for the beautifull quilt.

Than it is time to do an update of Little red riding hood. Not as much progress as I would have liked, but I didn't stitch as much in the evenings as I normally do as I have first been reading all the blogposts I was behind on. Will try to stay more up to date from now on :-)

Stashreport week 12

This week was a good week for the busting as I used more than came in. I was hitting some buttons this week on fatquartershop, but removed them all. Maybe I am not so good later this week, but for now I haven't bought anything.

I have worked on spring magic or what ever I am going to call this quilt when finished and also on a round robin which is highly overdue and I hope to finish this month so I can send it back to it's rightfull owner and than hoping off course she will like it. Also made a block from the sbs quilt (b2)

Also I have send out my monochromatic swap and hope my partner will like it.

Next week I want to work some more on the round robin, finish the strawberry quilt, make something from the scraps from that quilt and when time left I will do block b3 of sbs and really when more time left I will work also on the romantic strip quilt. Lucky me I only have to work for two days this week.

All kind of things

She and me are since last year working on the Sylvia's bridal sampler, but due to circumstances we haven't worked on it since april. After we saw eachother last weekend with the retreat we have decided to start again. As I have finished one block more than her I started real slow with b2. The baset block was already finished, but didn't know for sure I had a pic of it that is why it is in the pic. B2 is paperpieced and that is still not my favourite sewing technique. Next week b3 is on my list of things to do.
With all the cutting of the charmsquares for this quilt I had a lot of little scraps over and I just was a bit of playng with them and this is the first I made of it. It is a birthdaypresent for someone, hope to send it out this weekend with some other things. Hope the receiver will like it.
Tomorrow I will start and hopefully finish quilting the quilt mentioned above and put on the binding. I have so much fun with it, but first I want to clean up my sewingroom as it really needs that.

Top finished

Yesterdayevening and tonight I have done some more sewing on this one and the top is finished. Hope to do the quilting later this week. Tomorrow I will probaly work on a Silvia's Bridal sampler block.

A finish

When I went to the quilting retreat friday I picked up my friend Jacqueline to ride to Elst (Ut). The weather was great friday, the rest of the weekend was more rainy. When we came there, there were already a few ladies, but we were very early so not so many ladies arrived already. Jacqueline and I set us at a table and Mary, Simone and Margeeth joined us. I started doing the binding on Nature's Trail, but well didn't go very hard. It wasn't finished till saturdayevening and I didn't have to do more than a yard of the binding. But I have been talking to some ladies and just didn't feel like doing a lot. I went to bed late, but also was up early.

On saturdaymorning at breakfast we got out potholders (yes it is not a tablerunner, but a potholder for both hands. For me it doesn't work, so it will be a couchcaddy or something like that. I love the kitty one I received a lot I have to say, just don't know yet from who I received it. Than I decided it was really time to do something and I started cutting the 2 charmpacks for this shnibbles pattern "McGuffey" and when I finished the cutting (I didn't bring my sewing machine) I went back to the binding and got the quilt finished.

Sunday with breakfast we got another little present, but as it was not my thing I gave it to a friend who I knows loves chickens very much. Yesterday I was early in the evening again at home and after a long night I am feeling great again and so today I worked on the cut blocks and they are all finished. Only thing left to do is put on the inner border and the outer border. Again it is done with Strawberry lemonade fabrics.
