A quiet year

This was a very quiet blogging year. Is you look what I have blogged you would think I have only baked some pies and stitched a bit and that was it. Well yeah that is almost true. I haven't done much quilting. My bikingtrip this year was very very wet, but all in all it was a nice trip for the most part in Germany.
Stitching wise I finished St. Nick which is a big accomplishment.
Bakingwise I have done a lot, but I am posting that on a foodblog which is in dutch.
Maybe next year you will hear a bit more from me.

My new stitching piece

When I had finished St. Nick I soon started a new one. This is three little pigs dancing. I have now finished the first row of pages, 8 in total. What an detail already!

Toen ik St. Nick af had, ben ik vrij snel aan 3 dansende varkentjes begonnen en deze foto is van 8 pagina's af, wat neerkomt op de eerste rij pagina's. Wat een detail is er nu al te zien.

Yes, yes, yes I finally finished St. Nick and I did it in 3 years. Not so bad. I am almost sure which one to stitch next.

Jippie de kerstman in zijn werkkamer is af. Mijn geluk kan niet meer op. Ik ga maar even een paar ronde dansjes doen. Ik heb er precies 3 jaar over gedaan.
Ik weet al bijna zeker welke ik hierna ga maken.

No quilting, No stitching, but ....

cooking is a lot happening in my house. I am cooking meals for other people through www.thuisafgehaald.nl and last friday a reporter was following me while cooking a Chicken masala curry and a Lamb tikka masala curry. I also made two pies for one of the people that came for a meal.


The day was very busy, but so great. Lisa was a very nice lady and we had a lot of talks while I was cooking.

I also made "Duivenkater" and I have to say it almost tasted like the real thing.
The two curry's tasted both great and both the persons that came for a meal were both very happy with it.

I hope soon life will be a bit less busy and that I can clean out my sewing room and do some quilting again.

I want to wish everyone a happy new year. I seam very quiet and that is true, but the end of St. Nick is getting close and that keeps me busy. I hope to show a finish within 2 months if everything goes like plan.

Trip to Berlin in November

Ik wou bij deze iedereen gelukkig nieuwjaar wensen. Ik lijk erg stil en dat ben ik ook, maar het einde van St. Nick is in aantocht en dat houdt mij bezig. Ik hoop binnen nu en 2 maanden een affo te showen.
